    BUS DRIVERS NEEDED -

    Grass Lake Community Schools is in need of three bus drivers for the 2020-2021 school year. These are part-time positions working 6:15 AM-7:45 AM, and 2:45 PM-4:15 PM, being paid $45.31 per day for handling our morning and afternoon student bus runs. These positions also have optional additional income opportunities with extra-run field trips.

    No experience is necessary. Certifications and training are paid for by us. Vision insurance is provided. If interested in discussing the possibilities, contact Doug Moeckel at 517-867-5544, or doug.moeckel@grasslakeschools.com.

  • Coronavirus Protection

    While the Coronavirus Covid 19 is being monitored by our government agencies, the Michigan Department of Education reminds all of us to maintain basic cleanliness and prevention methods that include: o Remaining at home if you are sick and avoid close contact with people who are sick. o Avoiding touching your eyes, nose, and mouth with unwashed hands. o Washing your hands often with soap and water for at least 20 seconds. Use an alcohol-based hand sanitizer that contains at least 60% alcohol if soap and water are unavailable. o Covering cough and sneezes with a tissue or sleeve. Provide adequate supplies within easy reach, including tissues and no-touch trash cans.

    Congratulations to George Long Elementary School 5th Grader Lauren Doser for winning the George Long Elementary 5th Grade Spelling Bee on Thursday, January 30, and to Nathan Maynard, who was our runner-up. Lauren will represent George Long Elementary School at the regional spelling bee on Wednesday, March 11, at the Western High School Performing Arts Center, where she will be spelling against regional 5th through 8th grade students. If for some reason Lauren is not able to attend the Bee, Nathan will stand in her place. Well done Lauren and Nathan!
