  • WELCOME TO GEORGE LONG ELEMENTARY SCHOOL

    George Long Elementary School supports the Kindergarteners through 5th graders of the Grass Lake Community School District. The elementary building also houses the our Little Warriors Preschool & Childcare, which can be reached at 517-867-5650. Our school was extensively renovated and a new wing was added on in 2007. We enjoy large rooms, modern audio-visual equipment, and a cooperative staff committed to helping all of our students to succeed. Our instructional hours are 7:50 AM-3:11 PM.     George Long Elementary School begins classes for students at 7:50 AM and ends classes for students at 3:11 PM. Please note that on two hour delayed starts, student classes begin at 9:50 AM.

    "Thank you" to the Oklahoma City Fire Department for participating so fully with Ms. Bahlau's George Long Elementary School 1st Grade class as they recognize Fire Prevention Month. The class will be visiting our Grass Lake Charter Township Fire Department next week, along with the remainder of our 1st graders. Joining in the tour will be our Preschool students, and our Kindergarten students, as they plan to meet our volunteer firefighters, view their equipment, and learn more about fire safety.     Mrs. Michelle Clark is the Principal at George Long Elementary School. She is the instructional leader for our 600+ Grass Lake students who are in our Young 5's program through our 5th grade. Mrs. Clark leads a school that is diverse in its offerings and cognizant of each of our student's needs as they are being prepared to move onto Middle School.
